it's official.

i've saved my money. i've avoided my ridiculous habit of frivolous spending. and it was all worth it. SO worth it. because now meliss and i are packing our bag and hoping on a jet(blue) plane. 

we will be reuinted with this beautiful face.

and spend immense amounts of time on this lovely surface.

nothing feels better than knowing it's official.

springtime.

i'm still in utah. post wedding and florida i have come to find that with spring comes a lot of free time. im taking two whole classes, so there goes mondays and wednesdays. but uh.. what about the five other days of the week? last week i spent it lying by the pool soaking up the sunshine's rays. this week's forecast: rain. hence the predicament. i've decided i'm going to become a bookworm. and so here it goes.

first: water for elephants

i won't go see the movie until i've read the book. and i really want to see the movie. robert pattinson? yes please.

next: perks of being a wallflower

i hear a movie is coming out with nina dobrev and emma watson. 

okay perfect wizard and vampire combo.

next: the help

too many raging reviews to not read it. but im not gonna lie, the length intimidates me.

caisa left for hungary and with her departure, she left me her car. 

i can't complain. 

but also i can't say i'm not taking full advantage of it.

being the week before finals, we've all been a bit stressed.

staying up to absurd hours, locking ourselves in our rooms to study, then coming out in the middle of the night to be social (aka running off to see boys)..

all of these things are making these last few weeks quite the comedy show.

last saturday night we'd all stayed in for the night. rare occassion--we know. 

so..1 o'clock rolls around and we decide we want diet coke.

that's when it all started. 

sam: "hey guys, are you ready to go get snacks?"

sarah: "yeah let's go!"

melissa: "i thought we were getting diet coke.."

sam: "yeah we are."

 melissa: "so by snacks you mean...?"

sam & sarah: "diet coke."

hahaha obviously food and diet coke equate to the same thing.

we pull up to the drive through and place three separate orders. yeah that's right (we all only have cards). 

"what would you like on the first order?"

"large diet coke."

"what would you like on the second order?"

"a large diet coke."

"okay..and what would you like on the third order?"

"a large diet coke." "oh and a hot chocolate." "wait..can you go back to the second order and put a hot chocolate on that one too?" 

hahahah this is real life. so then we pull through. get our drinks. and park. 

after we finish our first round of diet cokes, we proceed to go inside for refills. 

the hilarity continues.

"can i get a sample of fries?" [yes. that's right. a sample. from mcdonalds. as if you've never had one before..]

 the lady didn't even let it phase her. she just walked right back and put 6 fries in a tiny fry bag. 

 the perfect number. split it between the 3 of us and we each got 2. 

SO funny.

these are my friends.

we are the harvard sailing team. 

almost every night since we have made a "snack run" to mickey d's. 

and the convos just keep getting funnier and funnier. 

lucky.

i was terrified to come to college. it was the biggest change i've ever experienced. 

well freshman year is coming to an end, and i couldn't have asked for anything better.

from wolverine to halloween to nickelcade to BFT, 

i made the best friends from all over the country. 

fate brought us together and regardless of what separates us, whenever we are reunited nothing changes. 

it breaks my heart to think of spending all summer without these beauties.

 but then i remember that i get to go home to them. 

i am so blessed to have friends all over the country.

skype, facebook, twitter..the internet is the greatest thing ever invented. 

i feel like i hardly miss out on anything even when i live 3,000 miles away. 

and i still have so much to look forward to.

this lovely lady is returning from india and we will finally get to live our dream as roomies in the fall. 

i am so lucky. 

there is always someone who understands me. 

there is always someone to make me laugh or play with my hair or bake cookies with me.

but lets be real. these are the greatest friends i could ever ask for. 

and anywhere i go, they'll be there.

and after all these years..

i finally understand. now unlike kristan, i try not to blog about diet coke (i blog about my obsession with cookies instead), but this time i'm giving in. last week i had three tests and i had yet to get around to studying for any of them (shocking i know). well my dearest friend melissa decided i needed to be dragged to the library. the long walk back up to campus at night time was just not sitting well with me. but then... she bribed me. with this: a large diet coke.

now i've been reading for years about kristan's struggles with a caffeine-free campus and her constant need for diet coke (hiding cans in lockers, etc.) and now i can finally relate. so funny watching melissa freak out as she hid it under her jacket so we could sneak it past the rent-a-cop sercurity guards (who take their job way too seriously by the way) and into the library. let me just say the whole 5th floor was jealous. well kristan, it's official. i win. and i'm turning into you. 

apparently all it takes is a large diet coke and i'm wherever you want me to be. 

never say never.

i went. finally.

i dragged caisa along. kristan came willingly.

we all loved it.

and have even more reasons to love j biebs:

1. he wanted to be a crossing guard when he grew up.

2. he eats moes.

3. he has his very own segway. 

i am in love. 

and so is caisa. proof:

sam: "what should i draw? it has to be small..tiny"

caisa: "tiny bedazzled rubix cube."

time 428 she brought him up today. she is in love too.

i couldn't be happier.
