ice ice baby.

Yay for Georgia weather and not having any equiptment to clear the roads! We got our 3rd day of school off this year, because of icy roads and not even an inch of snow. (the first two days we got off were because of ridiculous amounts of rain) Even though it wasn't possible to make it to school, i made it over to Annalise's house and we spent the entire day sledding, "ice skating," and sliding down the ice covered streets. It was a great way to start 2010.

and this is why i love georgia--less than an inch of snow and a little ice on the road and school is cancelled. snowboarding and ice blocking tomorrow (: look out for pictures!

i got home from school one monday morning and my mother says, "we're going to new york this weekend!" normal? probably not. oh well, i love it and it was a fabulous trip.

my sister, kelli, met us up there and it was a wonderful treat.

we saw the rockettes, mary poppins, went to top of the rock, ate pinkberry, and shopped..a lot.

and we even found the perfect billboard for shannan.

i love christmas time in nyc.

i am thankful for..

amy suggests i blog more. so here it is. my life the past couple of months starting with thanksgiving.

all my family came into town and my awesome aunt beth brought zac some new friends. i now have an unhealthy collection of cardboard cut outs.

on thanksgiving morning we decided to run the turkey trot for the 2nd year. because i am such a magnificent runner, i have decided

to stand out in a different way (aka--make a fool out of myself)

we went on our annual christmas tree hunt, and father, once again, refused to purchase this wonderfully monstrous 12 foot tree. one year we will make it will happen.

it was a wonderful break filled with family fun. i love my family and i wish my aunts, uncles, and cousins lived closer.

After pretty much crying my whole way home from school for fear that i was going to hydroplane or that someone was going to hit me, this is what I came home too:

Goodbye putting green. Goodbye hours spent laboring over this backyard. Goodbye fire pit and all the chairs that went around it. Goodbye swings. Hello.. raging river.

It has literally not stopped raining for the past week and it is expected to continue raining this whole week. You better believe I'm not going to school tomorrow if this keeps up. I will NOT drive in flooded streets EVER again.
